The National Capital Area Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) raised $3 million at the 23rd annual Leukemia Ball presented by Baker Tilly. Proceeds benefit LL“™s mission to cure blood cancer and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
The evening was emceed by area news personalities Lindsay Czarniak, Laura Evans, Andrea Roane and Alison Starling. Nearly 2,000 guests enjoyed the humor of comedian John Pinette and musical performance by Jackson Browne. Guests also enjoyed a silent auction with 500 unique packages, many including airfare from American Airlines, and had a chance to win one of two vehicles as a part of the Mercedes-Benz raffle.
