Executive Profile: Paul Strasser of DRC

Paul Strasser was named senior vice president of strategic development at Dynamics Research Corporation in April 2010.  He is responsible for creating new business-growth strategies that will help expand DRC's presence with federal government customers, including the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense, and civilian and intelligence agencies.

Strasser spent the last 28 years in senior management positions, developing technology services business with federal government customers. He most recently held the position of chief operating officer for Pragmatics, Inc. During his leadership, the company had a five-fold organic growth from $31 million in 2004 to approximately $145 million in 2010.

Before joining Pragmatics, Strasser provided business development and management oversight as vice president and division general manager for Titan Corporation's Enterprise Services and Solutions Sector.

Strasser joined Titan after serving as a certified satellite operations engineer at Lockheed Missiles and Space. His responsibilities there included managing organizations consisting of hundreds of engineers focused on mission-critical IT and also capturing numerous large contracts some worth in excess of $1 billion.

Strasser is active in several industry associations, including AFCEA, the Industry Advisory Council and TechAmerica. He earned a bachelor’s degree in meteorology from State University of New York at Oswego and a graduate certificate in information systems management from the University of Southern California Graduate School.
