MITRE Corporation has announced that vice president Gary Gagnon was appointed corporate director of cybersecurity. Gagnon will work to develop and implement MITRE’s cybersecurity strategy and cyber work activities for government clients.
“An increased focus and coordinated approach on cyber security and assurance underlie successful outcomes for all of our government customers,” said Alfred Grasso, President and CEO at MITRE. “Gary brings a wealth of experience in cyber, and he will make sure that we’re delivering the strategies that enable our customers to effectively deal with advanced cyber threats.”
The goal in having Gagnon head these two areas is to integrate MITRE’s own efforts at infrastructure protection with the cybersecurity efforts being provided to government clients.
Gagnon also serves as vice president within the Center for Integrated Intelligence Systems in MITRE’s Department of Defense Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence FFRDC.
