George D. Schindler serves as president at CGI Federal, a position he has held since 2006. In his current role, Schindler has operational responsibility for CGI's business with the civilian, defense and intelligence sectors of the U.S. federal government. In 2007, Schindler became a member of the CGI Management Committee.
Before being appointed president, Schindler was the U.S. lead of the Banking and Investments Industry Group, CGI's largest vertical. As senior vice president, he managed CGI's operations in the greater New York area.
Schindler previously was a vice president with American Management Systems, Inc., where he held various management and consulting positions in the government and commercial sector business groups.
He is currently a board member of the federal division of the TechAmerica Board and the Professional Services Council.
Schindler earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Purdue University.
