Austalian Communications Minister: We Will Stop the Spam at the Portal

Stephen Conroy, the Australian communications minister, pledged to protect Australians from spam entering their portals last week. Conroy made the pledge at the kick-off of National Cyber Security Awareness Week.

“There’s a staggering number of Australian’s being in having their computers infected at the moment, up to 20,000, can regularly be getting infected by these spams, or scams, that come through, the portal,” he said. “The Awareness Week aims to educate and empower people with the information, confidence and practical tools they need to protect themselves online.“
