In honor of the fallen men and women who have served in the Central Intelligence Agency, a fundraiser will be held next Thursday, July 8, to commemorate their services and raise money for their families.
The money from the dinner, which is sponsored by the CIA Officers Memorial Foundation, will provide education and other support to the children and spouses of the servicemembers who have been killed in the line of duty or as a result of accident, illness or other causes.
“Blues Brothers” star Dan Aykroyd will be revisiting his character’s mission to raise money for a good cause as the night’s keynote speaker. The original “Saturday Night Live” cast member’s comedic presence will be complimented by a performance from musical guest Jeff “Skunk” Baxter, former guitarist of Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers. He will be joined by fellow musicians Lee Dotson, Jeff Bean, Sean Peak and Linc Bloomfield.
The event will take place in Pentagon City’s Ritz Carlton Hotel.
The CIA Officers Memorial Foundation was established in December 2001. The event is also sponsored by the Intelligence and National Security Alliance.
