Gil Guarino is executive vice president of the Transformation Solutions Business Group for CACI International Inc. In this position, Guarino is responsible for overseeing all aspects of his group’s business with clients in the various departments of the federal government.
Before joining CACI, Guarino was vice president of strategic development for the defense and industrial business unit of American Management Systems, Inc. He was responsible for AMS’ business growth and strategy for defense markets. He oversaw acquisition, financial management and logistics through leadership and planning. He held this position until the defense and intelligence unit of the company was acquired by CACI, where he eventually took on his current position.
Before AMS, Guarino was program manager for Digital Equipment Corporation and then rose to become director of Digital’s Federal Proposal and Pricing Group. He then joined SSDS, Inc. as senior VP for client development.
Before his extensive business career, Guarino served as a colonel in the Air Force. He spent 20 years in the weapon systems acquisitions business and held various management positions for F-15 and F-16 tactical fighters programs and space systems programs. His last assignment was Air Force Systems Command’s deputy chief of staff for information systems.
Guarino earned his MA in Business Economics from Rutgers University New Brunswick.
