Come Join the Northrop Grumman Team The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) works at the business unit (BU) level and spans the breadth of the operating units (OU). The SAM has a mission focus, not an operating focus. This person must be customer oriented with the United States Air Force (USAF) with the focus in a cyber and information operations (IO) environment. Candidate will be outwardly facing to the customer and internally across the OUs, BUs, and Intelligence Systems Division (ISD) to connect the dots. Candidate will concentrate on the front end of the pipeline and work with the Mission Area Strategy (MAS) teams and business development (BD) leads. Candidate will make initial customer calls and work primarily in phases 0, 1, and 2 of Northrop Grumman's Business Acquisition Process (BAP). Candidate will qualify new markets and establish relationships with customers to expand current markets and grow business. Candidate will meet with program offices and understand programs of record. Candidate will perform customer analysis. As part of the business development responsibilities, the candidate will follow the NGIS Business Acquisition Process (BAP) for all business development efforts. The candidate will ensure the Division, Operating Unit, and Business Unit management are kept informed in a timely manner for decision making and that the capture team is adequately prepared to progress from BAP phase to BAP phase, further refining and developing the capture effort. The candidate is responsible for developing and implementing new business and re-compete capture strategies, including: customer engagements, teaming strategies, technical solution development, competitive analysis, position/price-to-win and pricing strategies; orchestrating and implementing NGIS BAP milestones; assuring the capture team is adequately staffed, writing the capture plan; and assisting with the oversight of proposal development effort, ensuring the implementation of comprehensive and compelling proposal. The Candidate will brief senior level management on high-dollar item captures. As required, the candidate will work in partnership with Division and Sector BD staff and external support, as necessary, for the successful development and execution of business development. The candidate will also implement business development best practices to include B&P estimation and tracking processes and metrics. Experience in the following areas is required: To be considered for this position candidate must have demonstrated business development and/or capture experience with USAF with the focus in a cyber and information operations (IO) environment in San Antonio, TX, with the focus in a cyber and information operations (IO) environment and have a minimum of 10 years of relevant recent experience in business development or line management. Candidate must also possess a Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field. Experience as a capture manager, program manager, and/or business development lead, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with senior level management are also required. The following are areas of required experience: ? ? Current TS//SCI clearance ? ? 10 years combined industry experience (aerospace, military or commercial) ? ? 6 years experience in the area of business development or line management or 6 years doing program management, program capture or proposal activities ? ? Knowledge of and experience in the federal acquisition process ? ? Knowledge of USAF with the focus in a cyber and information operations (IO) environment in San Antonio, TX ? ? Strong communication, negotiation, organizational and interpersonal skills The following are also desired to be successful in this position: ? ?
