Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities: The Cyber-Security and Enterprise Services (CES) Operating Unit within NGIS's Defense Enterprise Services (DES) Business Unit has an immediate need for a Cyber-Security Strategist (CSS). The CSS will: Be responsible for establishing a multi-year Cyber-Security strategy for CES. This strategy will establish an actionable plan for growing CES's customer sales with Cyber-Security customers, primarily DoD customers. The strategy will assess market needs and support the development of differentiating capabilities that position CES for growth. Identify and shape existing and emerging market opportunities. Facilitate winning key Cyber Security business pursuits. Represent CES to ““ and maintain strong business relationships with ““ Cyber-Security customers, partners, and suppliers. Understand our competitors' Cyber-Security offerings and strategies. The CSS must be a Cyber-Security generalist, though it is preferred that the CSS also have in-depth expertise in at least one Cyber-Security focus area. Focus areas of interest include authentication of users and systems, cryptography and key management, system access control, software correctness and chain-of-trust, trusted operating systems, multi-level security, passive and active network defense, intrusion detection, network forensics, network security operations, ethical hacking, and cyber war-gaming. It is preferred that the candidate be an in-depth expert in at least one such area, as well as have across-the-board general Cyber-Security expertise. Minimum Qualifications: BS in a technical field that is germane to Cyber-Security (e.g., computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, etc.) At least five years of experience in a Cyber-Security discipline, with ten years of general industry experience Demonstrated ability to develop actionable multi-year plans and investment roadmaps Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of military /DoD Cyber-Security policy, doctrine, and operations. Effective communicator, capable of effectively translating and presenting complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical management and customers, through oral presentations and written media (white papers and demonstrations) Additional Preferred Attributes: Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, and SANS GIAC are a plus Advanced technical degrees (M.S. or Ph.D.) are a plus Experience with the Government contracting industry is a plus, especially the capture of new business opportunities and responding to Requests for Proposal (RFP) Minimum security clearance: TS/SCI Security Clearance Required.
