Authorities in Pakistan disclosed the arrests of 5 hackers yesterday in the break-up of a gang of cyber criminals involved in fraud and defacing websites. The operation took place over several weeks according to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
Computers and other equipment linked to cyber crime were taken from the scene, according to the FIA. In a statement, the FIA said the criminals were involved in the defacement of thousands of websites belonging to government, international and non-government organizations.
“They were also involved in credit card jacking and usage of stolen credit cards,” according to the statement.
