
HP Enterprise Services has appointed Dr. John M. Chandler the U.S. federal healthcare chief medical officer to provide clinical insight, leadership and strategic direction to support the firm’s health IT business.
Chandler will report to Don Picard, HP Enterprise Services’ vice president of federal healthcare market segment, U.S. Public Sector.

Chandler’s healthcare career spans over 23 years, including 20 years of military medicine experience in the U.S. Navy. Most recently, he was a fellow and chief medical officer at Noblis, Inc. where he was responsible for quality, clinical effectiveness and medical affairs in the U.S. Public Sector. He also assisted federal clients with organizational change, strategic management and execution of services. Additionally, he served as the lead clinician in merger and integration activities.
As an independent consultant, he helped implement a Critical Care Program for the National Naval Medical Center, supporting wounded warriors returning from combat. While serving at the NNMC, Chandler practiced critical care medicine and trained healthcare professionals in graduate and undergraduate medical education.
