General Dynamics Books Important Army Contract

General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products picked up a $30 million contract from the U.S. Army for production and field support of Joint Biological Point Detection Systems (JBPDS).

This deal could be worth as much as $300 million if all options are exercised.

“General Dynamics has and continues to deliver innovations that protect our troops and our country from evolving chemical, biological, and explosive threats,” Bill Gural, VP of detection systems, said. “We look forward to continuing our work with the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Acquisition Center for production of JBPDS.“
