The Social Security Administration has chosen Lockheed Martin to provide systems modernization and other technology support over a seven-year period. The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract is worth up to $2.8 billion.
More specifically, Lockheed Martin will provide design, development, testing and administration services.
Lockheed Martin recently worked with SSA to develop a successful pilot of electronic health records, leading to a $9 million contract with the Department of Health and Human Services. Lockheed Martin has been working with the SSA for more than 20 years.
“Over the course of this decades-long partnership, we’ve seen the SSA not just modernize, but truly revolutionize how it delivers vital services to our nation’s citizens,” said Lockheed Martin Director of Health Information Management Solutions Michael Leff. “Lockheed Martin is proud to continue serving as a partner in the ongoing transformation of an agency that supports the health and economic well-being of millions of Americans.”
