Lockheed’s Ray O. Johnson Helps Pacific Northwest Celebrate Science

The Pacific Northwest Science & Engineering Festival (PNWSEF) is taking shape.

The event is a satellite partner with the USA Science and Engineering Festival that will be held in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 10-24, thanks in part to sponsor Lockheed Martin.

The national festival has more than two dozen satellites across the nation, much like the PNWSEF.

“Lockheed Martin is deeply concerned about the shortage of American scientists and engineers in our country,“ said Dr. Ray O. Johnson, senior vice president and chief technology officer at Lockheed Martin. “The U.S. needs to reinvigorate future generations to pursue careers in science and engineering. It is a national imperative that we as a nation must address.“
