James Sheaffer, president of CSC North American Public Sector, will chair the Red Cross National Capital Region Fire and Ice Ball being held in Washington, D.C., Oct. 16.
The ball will honor U.S. Armed Services and their families during the ball, as well as award Marine Corps Commandant General James T. Conway with a lifetime-achievement award.
“The American Red Cross was born on the battlefield more than 150 years ago,” Sheaffer said. “We recognize and thank the members of our Armed Forces for the sacrifices they make on behalf of all of us. This gala is also a chance to recognize the role the American Red Cross plays in supporting these brave men and women.”
The National Capital Region of the Red Cross supports the troops by welcoming them home from deployment, supplementing staff at local military hospitals, and more.
