Apptis will provide the U.S. Army with additional telecommunications systems and network support in a project for the Command Center Upgrade Special Project Office, the company announced today.

The work is related to the company’s current project with the Project Manager Network Service Center and carries additional fees of some $15 million. Specifically, some of the work involved includes program management, engineering services, telecommunications engineering, IT system engineering and implementation, operation and maintenance, training support, and integrated logistics support.

The Command Center Upgrade Special Project Office controls critical infrastructure such as fiber optic communications, power infrastructure, vehicle communication systems and more.

“These systems support our warfighters with solutions that span the spectrum from point-specific long-haul voice communications solutions to turn-key suites of integrated voice, visual, and data telecommunications systems,“ said Apptis President and COO Skip Nowland. “We are extremely pleased to continue serve this organization and proud to support the critical work that it does in the defense of our nation.“
