Hacker's Fake Tsunami Warning Causes Panic

A hacker caused mass panic in Indonesia by posting a bogus Tsunami warning from the compromised Twitter account of an Indonesian government disaster management official, Jakarta Globe reports.

The message from Andi Arief, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's adviser for disaster management and social affairs, was posted Thursday morning along with other more politically motivated messages.

An angry member of Arief’s' staff, confirmed the hack on Twitter and tweeted, “You, the one hacking Andi Arief's account, please return it! You are not conducting elegant politics! Coward!“

It is unclear how the hacker was able to break into the official’s Twitter account.
