Neustar Names James Cullen Chairman, Ushers in New Leadership

Neustar has two major changes to its board of directors, the company announced today. James G. Cullen has been named chairman of the board, while incumbent CEO Lisa Hook has taken the board seat of Jeff Ganek, Neustar chairman and founder.

Cullen, who formerly served as president and COO of Bell Atlantic Corporation, has held the role of lead director of Neustar since 2006.

Hook took over the company as CEO on Oct. 15, completing a succession plan anticipated since 2007. Ganek will continue his involvement with the company as a board member.

“I’m delighted to work with Jim Cullen as chairman of the board, as the company will benefit tremendously from his wisdom and leadership,” Hook said. “Neustar’s business is strong, the company’s growth prospects are excellent, and with our leadership transition completed, we can move into the next phase of delivering value to our customers and shareholders. I’m also truly pleased that we will be able to call on Jeff Ganek as an adviser to the board. His knowledge of the company and the industry we serve is unparalleled.”
