A new statewide performance budgeting system has been installed in the Commonwealth of Virginia by Project Performance Corporation, the company has announced. The new system replaces a legacy framework that had not been replaced for 25 years.
New features include managing screen development, business rules, and workflow tools, reporting improvements, FTP file transfer multiple interfaces, and data conversion services. The performance budgeting system will be used by approximately 500 users in Virginia; PPC hopes the system can be implemented in other states or government agencies.
“With little over one year to plan, design, build, test, train, and roll-out the budgeting modules of the PB system, the project team had to work extremely hard to achieve this major milestone,“ said Charlie Hanley, senior vice president at PPC. “With positive feedback already received from the user community, PPC continues to push forward to support the PB system in production and to develop a strategic planning module and an agency spend plan module for Phase 2 delivery.“
