SAIC will partner with the University of Maryland to promote education and research into cybersecurity initiatives, the company announced today.
The partnership means that SAIC's Cyber Innovation Center in Columbia, Md., will share some of its research with UMD's Cybersecurity Center in College Park, Md., which aims to educate cyber warriors and create technologies that will protect U.S. networks.
“Together, SAIC and UMD are working to find new ways to help the nation and inspire future generations through research, innovation and education, while also helping to sustain growth of Maryland’s economic development,” said Larry Cox, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.
SAIC also supports UMD's A. James Clark School of Engineering with a venture accelerator program for entrepreneurs, and the Robert H. Smith School of Business and School of Public Policy supporting a cyber supply-chain program.
