Vangent CISO John Lamboy was named Chief Information Security Officer of the Year by the Tech Council of Maryland at its fifth annual CIO and CTO Live! Awards gala, held last week in Washington, D.C.
Other than Lamboy, winners included Commercial IT Executive of the Year, which went to Mark Ives, Alion Science & Technology’s chief information officer.
More than 400 local CIOs, CTOs and senior IT executives attended the event, which also raised $4,000 for TCM’s charitable foundation, TCM Foundation.
Lamboy has been an information security specialist for more than two decades, and his current responsibilities at Vangent include overall security and information assurance, and overseeing confidentiality and integrity issues for the firm’s federal, state and local customers.
