The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has awarded CGI Federal Inc., a subsidiary of CGI Group Inc., a five-year task order worth $55 million under CMS“™ Enterprise System Development Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity contract.
Under the agreement, CGI will continue to develop software and operational support services to the Provider Enrollment Chain Ownership System.
According to CGI, the system manages, tracks, and validates enrollment data collected in both paper form and electronically. To date, more than 800,000 eligible health professionals have registered as Medicare providers via PECOS.
