Hackers Deface Indian Committee Website

Anonymous hackers on Sunday defaced the official website of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee, a unit of the Indian National Congress, according to The Hindu.

Renjith Balan, IT adviser of the party, said he discovered the defacement at 7 p.m. The hackers posted several messages on the website, saying they were acting on the behalf of Pakistan. One of the messages said, “Kashmir belongs to Pakistan.“ Another said, “Stop dreaming of making Kashmir yours.“ New Delhi Television reported the hackers also posted a picture of Pakistan’s founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah.

KPCC tooks its website off-line and filed a police report. The police said they would try to track the IP address of the server used by the hackers.

The website defacers claimed they were members of an anti-India cyber-underground platform, according to The Hindu.
