ManTech announced today the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division awarded the technologies and solutions firm a contract to provide engineering, technical and administrative support for naval aircraft and systems.
The $57 million contract stands for one year, with the potential to extend to four years.
NAWCAD’s contract tasks the Fairfax, Va., company with providing diagnostics and systems safety analyses for naval aircraft and systems during the design, development, production and active use phases.
ManTech will support NAWCAD in a plethora of weapons, launch, and recovery systems associated with Navy and Marine Corps air power.
NAWCAD, a division of the Naval Air Systems Command, serves as a liaison between industry and the military to provide products and support for Navy aviation weapons systems.
“In today’s world, pilots and systems operators require complex weapon systems specifically designed for the unique naval operating environment,” said Terry M. Ryan, president and chief operating officer of ManTech’s Systems Engineering and Advanced Technology group. “Their success in that environment depends on the reliability of those systems to operate when needed to complete the mission. We are honored to be a part of the team of engineers that supports the success of the Navy’s mission with vital naval aircraft and systems developed with fleet operators and maintainers in mind.”
