General Dynamics Information Technology and TIBCO Software Inc. announced this week plans to integrate software to better assist customers with the HIPAA 5010 and International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision testing and conversion strategy.
Select TIBCO Foresight products will contain General Dynamics’ ViPS’ NAV-10 technology. ViPS’ NAV-10 Code Translation Suite helps public and private healthcare organizations prepare for this 2013 compliance.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid mandated ICD-10 implementation by Oct. 13, 2013. The upgrade affects business operation information systems and processes.
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 5010 requires compliance from healthcare providers by Jan. 1, 2012. Smaller providers have until Jan. 1, 2013.
“By partnering with TIBCO, General Dynamics will provide customers with a superior capability to help them meet the new ICD-10 requirement cost effectively and on schedule,” said Art Lehrer, vice president and general manager of General Dynamics Information Technology’s Health IT Solutions sector. “The NAV-10 system is a quality-driven solution that tailors to a customer’s business model to help them make informed decisions based on their own data.”
