Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) was honored as one of DiversityInc’s “Top 50 Companies for Diversity” for 2011, “honoring the company’s commitment to hiring and developing a diverse staff, creating an inclusive work environment and leveraging the differences of staff to further enhance client service.”
The 2011 ranking marks Booz Allen’s first appearance on the list.
“We’re a firm known for providing the highest quality consulting expertise to the U.S. government, and that means we must foster the best and most innovative ideas. Every day we see that the diversity of our workforce is essential to generate that level of expertise,” said Betty Thompson, senior VP for People Services. “Success is about hiring a diverse workforce, but also comes from creating an energized working environment where people of all backgrounds can flourish, and we’re proud that DiversityInc has acknowledged our commitment to diversity and inclusion.”
The honor is the latest entry on a lengthy list of accolades for the firm, including spots on Fortune magazine’s 2011 “Best Companies to Work For,” Working Mothers magazine’s “100 Best Companies for Working Mothers” and GI Jobs magazine’s “Top Military Friendly Employer.”
