Alion announced its hire of Maj. Gen. Charles Fletcher, Jr., who will be serving as the new senior vice president and manager of the company's Strategic Operations Group. He is responsible for the technical and operational needs of customers throughout the Defense Department.
The now retired Army general has 34 years of military experience under his belt, which includes his role as commanding General in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Fletcher’s post-military career includes jobs as director of operations and plans for the U.S. Transportation Command and director of logistics command and control at Boeing's Advanced Global Services and Support Division.
Alion's Senior Vice President of the company's Defense Operations and Integration Sector Lt. Gen. David Ohle said the company is excited to have Fletcher join and contribute to Alion's growth and continued success. “Charlie's experience, both in the business world and as a hands-on military leader, make him ideal for this role, which is focused on understanding and exceeding our customers' expectations,“ he said.
Fletcher will also contribute his expertise on training, testing and evaluation, logistics and program management to the DoD's Strategic Operations Group.
