Lockheed Martin, URS Corporation and InDyne have agreed to jointly pursue the Launch and Test Range System Integrated Support Contract. The contract is scheduled to be awarded in 2012.

LISC will provide the U.S. Air Force with a single prime contractor,  responsible and accountable for complete and integrated LISC operations that include organizational and depot level maintenance, logistics management, sustaining engineering, modifications, integration management and test, downrange Operating Base and Support, and mission support communication services at both eastern and western ranges.

VP of Operation Systems and Services for Lockheed’s Information and Global Solutions-Defense Bob Kramer said this partnership includes three proven contractors with extensive experience in range management  and successful large scale integration.

General Manager for the Systems Engineering and Technology group of URS John Vollmer echoed Kramer’s talk of the team’s experience factor and how that will shape the outcome of the joint project.

“With combined experience on more than 10 range programs, we believe this team has the ability to continue to successfully support our customers well into the future,” he said.
