RightNow Technologies announced today its founder and CEO, Greg Gianforte, will join the Commission on the Leadership Opportunity in U.S. Deployment of the Cloud council.
“In December 2010, the Obama administration announced its 25-Point Implementation Plan to Reform Federal IT Management,“ Gianforte said. “A central component of the plan is the shift to a Cloud First policy. For this reason, CLOUD2 is well positioned to provide the expertise and insight into the industry best practices meant to ensure the appropriate adoption of cloud-based technologies. I am pleased to have an opportunity to sit with my peers and influence change. With the power of the cloud, government agencies can enhance efficiency and give citizens access to transparent, timely information, while also providing significant cost savings in the years to come.“
The Obama administration gave TechAmerica Foundation's Cloud2 Commission a three-month mandate to recommend cloud technology solutions to the federal government. The commission will also advise on cloud public policy.
“CLOUD2 represents an assembly of some of the best and brightest IT visionaries.“ said Dallas Advisory Partners Founder and TechAmerica Foundation Chairman David Sanders. “We understood that to influence change, CLOUD2 needed to provide diverse insight on issues critical to the cloud. This commission is essential to continued U.S. technological innovation, and we look forward to providing constructive recommendations to the administration.“
