Sevatec, Inc. has announced that Burke Cox has joined the firm as chief operating officer and will oversee day-to-day operations and lead the firm’s long-term strategy to expand its portfolio of mission-critical projects in the government sector.

“I am excited about Burke joining us and look forward to his leadership in helping steer and drive Sevatec to the next level of performance and growth,” said Sonny Kakar, president and CEO. “Burke’s hands-on, collaborative and proactive approach will greatly assist Sevatec in meeting our established goals in the three strategic areas of service, growth and people. Sevatec will benefit immensely from his experience and leadership.”

Before joining Sevatec, Cox served as chief operating officer and chief technology officer at Platinum Solutions, where he managed all aspects of the firm’s growth and corporate strategy in addition to the internal IT infrastructure and service support to federal clients.

“Key drivers to success in the federal space include the quality of people within a company, the ability to successfully execute while following meaningful core values, and the ability to present government customers with compelling services tailored to delivering best value and technical excellence,” Cox said. “Sevatec has an excellent platform in all of these factors, and I look forward to working with the team at all levels to help grow the organization in the next several years.”
