CA Technologies has been named by Working Mother magazine as one of 2011’s Best Companies for Multicultural Women. The award recognizes companies that are dedicated to bringing more perspectives to the decision-making table by holding managers accountable for recruiting, retaining and promoting multicultural women.
CA Technologies said it focuses on fostering diversity inside and outside the company. It offers numerous programs to encourage the advancement of multicultural women, including leadership development, mentoring, rotation, job shadowing and associate programs.
“Workplace diversity is important to us; it is something we nurture and encourage, because we recognize that our ability to succeed and excel in the marketplace depends on our people,” said Guy Di Lella, chief human resources officer for CA Technologies. “We are honored to be acknowledged for our commitment to creating workplace environments and practices that encourage learning from others and capture the advantage of diverse perspectives.”
The firm is an active partner of the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology, a nonprofit organization aimed at increasing the impact of women on all aspects of technology. It is also a major sponsor of ABI’s annual Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing conference in the U.S. and India.
