Salesforce plans to integrate Radian6 across its products and anticipates the deal will elevate its shift to Cloud 2, a social and mobile form of cloud computing, by helping companies manage the social interactions taking place inside and outside of the companies.
The data collected by Radian6 through multiple social media websites will help companies market and sell products to customers, thus helping better understand what customers think about their brand, products and competition. This gives Salesforce an opportunity to monitor and be in the know about what social media users are saying about the clients they work with.
Chairman and CEO of Salesforce.com Marc Benioff said Radian6 adds huge value to Salesforce.com by delivering the public, social web across all products.
“Giving customers the social intelligence they want with the business context they need will further differentiate our products and accelerate our growth,“ he added.
