Space communications will play a role as an electronic warfare force multiplier as electronic warfare becomes progressively integrated and continually evolves, predicts a new report by Strategy Analytics.

Unlike other physical weapons, electronic warfare is not limited to using tanks, aircraft and ships that are specific to air, sea or land. The weaponry consists of multidomain warfare, which relies on the use of space communications systems assets for effective management.

ADS Service Director Eric Higham said this strategy is already employed by the U.S. military as well as other nations who recognize the importance of EW systems.

“Space communications assets will be pivotal in supporting the net-centric capabilities required for tighter integration of EW and cyber-information warfare,“ he added.
