QinetiQ North America Wins Contract from US Army

QinetiQ North America announced it has received a contract award from the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center in Huntsville, Ala. The five-year contract is worth $39.8 million and supports the center's Architecture Characterization Program.

QinetiQ will perform architecture definition, concept development, scenario development, constructive simulation and analysis, training and deployment, among other services. These tasks support the program's initiatives, which include air and missile defense, force protection and cyber technology integration.

“We are confident that our expertise in this area will assist AMRDEC in accomplishing its mission, and we look forward to developing a long standing partnership,“ said David Shrum, executive vice president and general manager of QinetiQ North America's Engineering and Life Cycle Management Business Unit.

The A2CP research and development program spans the spectrum of both basic and applied research, including provisions for technology development and demonstration.
