John Lord serves as senior vice president and director of operations for SAIC“™s Defense Solutions Group. He is responsible for the group“™s contracts, pricing and procurement, and program execution organizations.
Prior to joining SAIC, Lord served as chief operating officer for Preston Aviation Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Boeing. His tasks included developing business strategies, managing business developing staff in Washington and London, and closing business deals in the U.S. and nine other countries.
Lord worked for CACI from 1993-1997 as the firm“™s vice president and corporate director of contracts. He also served as manager of contracts for Martin Marietta Corporation, which is now Lockheed Martin.
One of Lord“™s philanthropic endeavors includes founding Lose the Training Wheels Inc., a nationwide nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching children with disabilities how to ride bikes without training wheels.
Lord holds a bachelor“™s of science degree in business administration and an MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology.
