Howard L. Lance to Speak at Jefferies Conference in New York City

Howard L. Lance, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Harris Corporation, will be a featured speaker at the Jefferies 2011 Global Industrial and A&D Conference on Aug. 11 in New York City.

Lance’s presentation is scheduled to begin 8:30 a.m. Eastern time. A live webcast and replay of the presentation will be available at www.harris.com.

The conference takes place Aug. 9-11 and features more than 200 companies from the industrial and aerospace and defense spectrum.

FAA Certifies General Atomics-Made Extended Range Drone for Testing in US Airspace

General Atomics' aeronautical systems business has received the Federal Aviation Administration's approval to test a second Avenger Extended Range unmanned aircraft system in U.S. national airspace. The company said Wednesday it will use the FAA-granted experimental certificate to expand Avenger ER's testing activities for internal research and development, as well as contracted efforts.
