Iron Mountain Incorporated announced today it will work with GimmalSoft, a provider of information life-cycle solutions for Microsoft SharePoint, to develop a solution that allows for companies to manage both paper and electronic records with SharePoint 2010.
According to Iron Mountain, the solution integrates SharePoint 2010 and Iron Mountain's Accutrac software so that companies have a centralized means to access both paper and electronic documents, manage on- and off-site files, consistently classify data, apply legal holds and set retention periods.
This capability will provide companies with an organized and consistent way of classifying and managing physical and electronic files, a key requirement for accessing information fast, meeting compliance regulations and being prepared for litigation.

Iron Mountain and GimmalSoft will unveil the new solution in October at the SharePoint Conference in Anaheim, Calif., and at the ARMA International Conference in Washington, D.C.
