ITT Corporation has named retired U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Robert T. Durbin as vice president of government relations for the firm“™s Defense and Information Solutions unit.
Some of his responsibilities include providing guidance on proposed legislation and regulation issues that have an impact on ITT Defense programs. He will also be responsible for supporting long-range marketing strategy and business planning.
“Bob“™s decades of experience in the U.S. Army will provide us with a better understanding of the needs of one of our most important customers,“ said David F. Melcher, president of ITT Defense and Information Solutions.
Durbin spent more than 36 years in the U.S. Army and served as director of the Army Office of Business Transformation. He was also special assistant to the chief of staff of the Army for enterprise management, and was responsible for the Army“™s investment strategy.
