Lockheed Martin has been awarded four of the 2011 James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Awards by the Defense Security Service. The event was held at the NCMS training seminar in New Orleans, La., June 22. The firm was recognized for industrial security excellence and received more awards in one year than any other firm.
“These awards are tremendous recognition of the important work our corporation's security professionals do each and every day,“ said Bob Trono, Lockheed Martin's chief security officer. “Protecting our people, our facilities, our information and our systems must remain a priority in light of the critical work our corporation does to promote global security.“
The four awards given to Lockheed include Missiles and Fire Control Facility for Troy, Ala. ,and Grand Prairie, Texas, The Medium Extended Air Defense System International Organization for Orlando, Fla., Munich and Rome, and LMSecurity Operations Center for Orlando, Fla.
