Accenture has just introduced its Citizen Self-Service Portal, a public online access tool to help connect human service agencies with its clients. The portal, which is built on Accenture“™s Public Service Platform, provides citizens with access to a simple, online, human services access point.
“In these times of tight budgets and growing demands for human services, this new portal will save citizens and agencies time and money, streamline access to services, and help capture the benefits of a truly integrated “˜family first“™ approach to government serving citizens-in-need,“ said David McCurley, senior executive and lead for Accenture“™s public sector software business.
The portal enables case workers to assist benefit applicants when completing online applications. States would also be able to use the portal when launching health insurance exchanges. The portal would provide them with online access to the exchanges.
