IBM has submitted three native mobile applications to the most popular mobile app stores, an attempt for the tech consulting giant to introduce its social software platform, IBM Connections, to a wider audience.
In a post published on Technorati, Luis Benitez, social software product manager at IBM, said the apps–submitted to Android Market, iTunes App Store and BlackBerry’s App World–should be available shortly for users of all three stores, although each store will approve the app on its own terms.
The app submission is part of IBM“™s Social Everywhere strategy, a widespread attempt to connect businesses with people using relevant information to be accessed at any point and any time by making social software available across a wide range of devices.
