KBR Announces its Contract Win on Phase Two Expansion Project

KBR recently announced its subsidiary the Building Group has been awarded the phase two expansion of Dupont’s Chestnut Run Plaza, the firm’s suburban campus in Wilmington, Del. The building will hold 800 employees and consist of four levels of office space.

“The award of Phase Two underscores KBR’s reputation for delivering consistent, reliable services across multiple lines of business and will enable the Building Group to continue to showcase its extensive experience managing large-scale and LEED construction,” said Mike Sloan, executive vice president of the KBR Building Group.

The building is expected to achieve U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Gold certification and is expected to open 2013. The Building Group’s Washington, D.C. office in Vienna, Va. is responsible for the project.
