Pragmatics Names Joseph Miller New VP, General Manager, Civilian Agency Services Division

IT services and solutions provider Pragmatics has appointed Joseph Miller to the position of vice president and general manager of the company’s civilian agency services division. The decision, effective immediately, was announced last week.

Miller has served as acting director and general manager of CASD since January 2011 after joining Pragmatics in 2010. His work with the company involves leading business activity across much of the federal civilian landscape with a specific focus on providing technology services and solutions to customers such as the Departments of Homeland Security, Health and Human Services and Justice.

“Pragmatics is pleased to welcome Joe Miller to our executive management team,” Pragmatics Chief Operating Officer Max Hall said. “He will leverage the expertise in program management and IT issues he has gained during his impressive career to support Pragmatics as we provide world-class solutions to best support the mission-essential needs of our civilian agency customers.”

Miller spent more than 12 years at SRA International prior to joining Pragmatics, where he most recently served as vice president and program manager for the Communications and IT Support Program for U.S. European and U.S. Africa Commands. He retired from the U.S. Army at the rank of colonel after 28 years of service, during which he served as the principal adviser to the deputy assistant secretary of defense for near East and South Asian affairs.
