Oracle has today announced its solution for health insurance exchanges that provides state governments with the functionality and services required to help ensure health insurance exchange success. The solution consists of multiple Oracle applications and technology solutions.
As part of President Obama“™s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, states are required to create American Health Benefit Exchanges, which enables individuals and small businesses to purchase insurance. The health insurance exchange is supposed to have taken place by 2014 and that creates some challenges for states.
The Oracle solution enables state governments to phase in additional programs as requirements or legislation changes. The solution also supports key Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology guidance.
“Oracle offers a robust solution which consists of proven technologies that are architected to work together, and include the necessary capabilities to deliver a successful program,“ said Mark Johnson, senior vice president of Oracle Public Sector.
