Rockwell Collins' next generation avionics system, on Boeing's 787 Dreamliner airplane, has recently been certified by the FAA and the European Aviation Safety Agency. The firm has worked with Boeing to serve as a systems integrator for the airplane's flight deck displays, crew alerting system, flight controls, and communications and surveillance systems among others.

“We're extremely proud supporting Boeing in bringing industry-first innovations to this revolutionary aircraft, which will deliver new levels of safety, efficiency and reliability to airlines around the world,“ said Jeff Standerski, Rockwell Collins Air Transport Systems vice president and general manager.

Rockwell Collins will provide an Integrated Surveillance System for the aircraft that includes hazard detection, traffic alert and collision avoidance, Mode S surveillance, terrain awareness and warning capabilities.
