General Dynamics recently named Leda M. L. Chong senior vice president of its aerospace group’s Asia-Pacific region.
Chong’s responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating activities among gulfstream aerospace and jet aviation representatives, identifying opportunities for partnering with Chinese companies and coordinating with Chinese aviation authorities to expand company offerings in the Asia-Pacific region.
“Leda Chong will be the enduring representative of the Aerospace group in that essential market, providing a primary executive who can interact with customers, partners and government representatives in facilitating mutual accomplishments and strengthening our relationships with these key stakeholders,” said Joseph T. Lombardo, executive vice president of the General Dynamics aerospace group.
Prior to her current role, Chong served as the firm’s staff vice president of government relations and director of government relations. The 20-year U.S. Navy veteran is a native of Hong Kong and earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the U.S.
