Intel Joins Non-Profit I3A to Support Mobile Imaging

Non-profit organization I3A has announced that Intel is joining its association as a strategic member. I3A is a global association for the imaging industry that brings members together to create standards and collaborate on initiatives.

Intel will participate with the mobile imaging interest group and its camera phone image quality initiative.

“As an innovator in the semiconductor industry, Intel’s participation will be a real asset to help drive I3A’s future direction and strategy,”  said I3A President Lisa Walker. “I look forward to gaining the insights Intel will bring to our board of directors.”

The mobile imaging interest group was created to maximize the usability and performance of mobile images and to overcome any barriers created by combining image capture with mobile capabilities.

I3A members are drawn from all sectors of the imaging ecosystem and range from multi-nationals to small technology companies.
