Northrop Grumman‘s Europe-based airport systems group received an innovation award for its airport realtime collaboration technology and services capability at Inter Airport Europe 2011.
The technology is designed to provide airports more accurate and timely information for enhanced decision making and improved coordination of airport operations. It uses existing infrastructure to deliver a common situational awareness picture through web-based geographical and tabular views of the airfield operations.
“We are delighted to win such a prestigious award in recognition of the innovation of ARC,” said Charles Houseago, managing director of Northrop Grumman’s airports systems group. “This comes at a very exciting time as we are enhancing the product offering to encompass a new ARC passenger flow module which offers airports a simple way to use existing data sources in a smarter way, giving more accurate forecasting and higher predictability.”
