Parsons recently assisted in transferring and preparing the Shuttle Space Orbiter Endeavor Final Placement Logistics Plan for the California Science Center in Exposition Park. NASA recently announced the Center should receive the shuttle before the 30th anniversary date of the first space shuttle launch, April 12th of 2012, for permanent display.
“Endeavour will be an amazing sight as it is moved along urban streets to its new home at the California Science Center, cheered on by thousands of people along the route,“ said Marty Fabrick, Parsons senior vice president and director of global business who led the Endeavor Final Placement Logistics Plan team.
Parsons assembled a team of local consultants to contribute their expertise and resources to assist the Science Center in developing the logistics plan. The plan reveals how Endeavor will be received at the Los Angeles International Airport and transported to Exposition Park.
