Chris Biow is vice president and public sector chief technology officer at MarkLogic Corporation, a position he has held since 2006.
Biow is responsible for providing technical leadership for the company's government business as well as implementing MarkLogic’s pre- and post-sale architecture. Biow has worked in search, database, and knowledge management applications for over 20 years.
Prior to his position with MarkLogic, Biow served in the U.S. Navy for 25 years. Eight of those years were of the active duty variety as a radar intercept officer, flying the aircraft-carrier based F-14 Tomcat. Biow’s civilian career was launched in 2005 as a principal architect with Verity and Autonomy.
Biow holds a bachelors degree in computer mathematics from the Naval Academy and a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Maryland.
